OBITUARY:
Arthur. L. Varner, 62, Kingman County resident throughout his life, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital here after a brief illness.
He was born at Varner, June 18, 1878, the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Varner. His father was one of the founders of the Kingman county town which bears his name.
He was married to Annie May Nutter October 29, 1900, and of the eight children born to this union, seven survive. One son, Harold, died in young manhood.
He is survived by his wife and seven children: Otis of Kingman; Lester of Kansas City, Kansas; Fred of El Dorado, Kansas; Leo of Kingman; Victor of Kansas City; Murl and Lillian Mae of the home; a brother, Birt Varner of Kingman, and a sister Mrs. Coll Buchanan of Hutchinson.
Burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Obituary of Odis Teddy Varner stated at his death he only had a brother Victor and sister Lillian still living. So all other died before 1989.

Odis Teddy Varner was born Aug. 27, 1900 at Varner, Kansas and died on Sept. 12, 1989. His parents were Arthur and Annie Nutter Varner.
He had resided in Kingman since 1984 and had lived in Grove, Oklahoma for over 40 years previous.
He married Velma Irene Oakes April 25, 1923 in Pratt. She preceded him in death on Dec. 20 1983. He is survived by their 6 daughters, Marguerite Fowler, Marjorie Lackey, Patty Wilson, Betty Fields, Irene Bish and Macie Fiechtner; a brother, Victor Varner; a sister, Lillian Stuckey

ORBITUARY:
Victor V. Varner, 78, of El Dorado, died early Saturday morning, October 6, 1990 at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. Services, Monday, October 8, at Carlsons Funeral Home, with burial following at Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
Mr. Varner was born February 24, 1912 in Kingman, son of Arthur and Annie Nutter Varner. He grew up and attended school in Kingman and lived in Kansas City for six years from 1940 to 1946. He then moved to El Dorado.
He married Inez O. Barnes, September 19, 1940 in Ottawa. She preceded him in death, November 9, 1984.
Mr. Varner was a machine operator for Skelly Refinery for 25 years, retiring in 1972. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, in the European Theatre.
Survivors include two daughters, Vickey L. Miller, Caroline S. Mitchel, both of El Dorado; one sister, Lillian Stuckey of Kingman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers.
Casket bearers were Harley Mitchell, Dean Miller, Howard Kelly, Larry Davis, Lee Edwards and Jack Gipson.
